Buy a Brick

Need a unique gift? Have someone on your holiday list who is tough to buy for?  Buy them a brick to be placed in the Library’s new multipurpose outdoor community space.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Where will the outdoor space be?

There will be seating around the flag pole with sidewalks to a multi-use space just outside of the children's room.  The drawing above is not an exact plan.  Currently, there is only a bench in that space. 

What will the outdoor space be used for?

The space will be for patron use as well as library programs.

How much does a brick cost?

$75.00 for a 4x8 brick with 3 lines of text (along the walkway) OR

$150.00 for an 8x8 brick with 6 lines of text (along the wall)

How do I order a brick?

Just fill out this order form and either bring it, along with payment, to the check-out desk at the library or mail it to us at:

Please do not send cash through the mail.

Can I put it on a credit card?

We can only accept cash or checks made out to: The East Greenbush Community Library.

Can I choose the brick color?

No.  All bricks will be the same color.  We haven't yet decided whether it will be the rose color of the building's accents or the tan color of the walls.

Can I choose the font?

No.  The font on all of the bricks will be Arial (all caps).

Do I have to buy a brick to contribute?

We welcome all contributions of any size, whether you'd like a brick or not.

When will the project be completed?

We hope to complete the project by Fall 2013.
